Screen UI/UX Evolution -My workflow of working & analysis, taking decisions, iterations — final results.
The story of how I start design any particular digital product.
There are tons of articles available over the internet which explains what is UI/UX and its processes but I am not going to repeat that one, I am trying to explain here how I work, what is my workflow, my thought process, and how I analyze and take decisions, and iterate my designs.
When you see or observe any app or website design or any digital product screen, there are lots of goes behind visual elements representations.
The visual decision always depends on information architecture, context, and content which leads to a design decision on what is user’s priority what are the business goals that generate design patterns and placement of elements. Ultimately leads to key elements to emphasize and which is the best way to represent it.
Let’s jump to the main part of the article. This is not a client project but a problem that I found over the internet and wanted to work as a practice.
The Problem
Many times one purchased some tickets for movies, events, and seminars but then eventually can not go so there should be a way to resale those tickets legally. In this article,
I am not covering feature listing, mind mapping, and information architecture, and lots of notes discussing the problem but after finalizing all these processes how wireframes turn to actual UI where UX decision and design decision, analysis, iterations, and turn around as final results.
Based on UX Goals and Must have points I had started working on wireframes.
Firstly I designed a couple of sketches and among those finalizing two where I asked a couple of users and a few designers and finalize one to go ahead.
Wireframes
From this, I actually start working on colors❤️, typography🔠, and iconography♑
Iteration #1
Iteration #2
Iteration #3
Iteration #4
Iteration #5-Final to Present and work ahead
From here I will take user feedback from the users, if I have access I would conduct beta testing and take fellow teammates and designers opinions (sometimes a bunch of screens covering one module for testing)
Also, discuss the same with the Product owner as we know design and experience better but taking feedback from PO is crucial as they know more about their business and they have their own vision as well
I believe in the collaboration methods while working with Clients or Team
Every designer has a different way to solve the problem and I follow all standard UI/UX processes but the ideal standard process is not followed by every time and also different projects require different ways and times and other factors also play their part.
